The Connections newsletter is published regularly by Making Connections-Denver. It contains articles of interest to those in the four Making Connections neighborhoods and covers news about employment and asset building, economic development, public school reform, early childhood education and community events. Connections is distributed to the four neighborhoods, MC-D partners, funders and interested parties. Each issue is printed in both English and Spanish. Below are descriptions of the most recent issues and links to each edition.

  • A Big Win at Gates Site. Redevelopment of the old Gates Rubber factory will mean good jobs, affordable housing and a clean environment for Making Connections-Denver neighborhoods.
  • Community Photographers Hone their Skills. A community photography program is teaching residents and workers in MC-D neighborhoods to document family life and community activities.
  • Help to Pay for Child Care is Available. Funding is available through Denver?s Child Care Assistance Program for working families who need help paying for child care.
  • Quality Child Care is Critical to Family Success. Making Connections-Denver is working to help bring more resources to family, friends and neighbors who provide child care.
  • Sanchez Family Members Earn Auraria Scholarships. A mother and daughter are sharing their story about earning scholarships through the program for “displaced Aurarians“ in hopes that others will take advantage of the educational opportunity.
